Jubilee

Alexis was in a music class called Jubilee. My good friend Shanae taught the class in her home. They did more than just sing songs, they learned about composers, about rhythm, how to read notes, etc. Alexis LOVED it! Shanae moved away this summer and Alexis is missing the class. Here is a sample of their spring program:

Denali Broken Arm & Dance Recital

Someday I will get caught up to current family events!

Denali broke her arm in April. She is always climbing and jumping off of everything. One night as we were getting ready for bed, I told her not to jump off the bed cause she would hurt herself. The next thing I know, she has jumped and she landed on her arm. Their bunk bed actually has a slide on it and she jumped mid-slide. Greg wasn't home that night, so I had to have a neighbor come put Alexis to bed and be here while Alexis and Paxton slept. It was only a small fracture, but it was right near her elbow. And they made her put her arm out completely straight for the x-rays. The look of pain on her face really did break my heart. She was excited to get a pink cast though. And I know I have pictures of it but can't find them on my computer at the moment. Her cast only had to be on for 4 weeks, but her dance recital happened to be during that time.

She really enjoyed her jazz dance class last spring. She's the adorable blonde with the bright pink cast!

March, April and part of May

Since I am so very far behind on blogging, I am going to highlight some of the great things that have been going on in our family this year.

Paxton turned one in March! He loves balls and so we made him a baseball cake and had the Arave's over to help celebrate.

Denali singing "Stop in the name of love." She is quite the singer and likes to make up her own songs.

Decorating Easter Eggs. We tried these die pens, less mess and more fun we decided!

We added shelving to a lot of our closets. We had an empty space in our main bathroom and added some large shelves.

Greg won a weightloss challenge by losing 60 pounds!

This is a funny picture of Paxton. He woke up kind of frustrated and it was because somehow his arm went up his shirt and back out the neck hole while he was sleeping.

Tired, tired boy.
Paxton loves his yogurt!
