Snow Storm

We had a pretty warm fall and not a lot of snow, until early December sometime. I don't know the date for sure, but we went to bed with grass showing and woke up to all of this snow:


We ended up getting 18 inches in a 24 hour period and they canceled school. Our school hadn't had a snow day in 20+ years.

Paxton Loves to Laugh

Paxton is pure joy. As he is getting older, he can be a little stinker sometimes. But he really is so cute and so fun. I wanted to share this video of him laughing.

Also, he loves balls. And blocks. And cars. And trains. You know, he is a boy. One day he was being really quiet so I went searching for what he was up to. He was sitting on the counter with all his precious toys inside my mixer. He was very proud of himself. And I was very glad that he didn't get hurt.

Decorating the Tree

We decorated our tree early this year. The girls were begging and we don't spend Thanksgiving at our house, so we put it up. Some of the neighbor friends were over and helped us too. When we go on vacation, I buy a Christmas ornament for our tree. So decorating the tree is really fun, because we get to talk about the fun trips we've been on and things that we've seen.

This hand painted ornament was from the Kentucky Derby Museum.

Trees decorated by children may not be the prettiest, but they do make the best memories!
