June 2010 - Visits to and from family

June was a very busy month with a lot of miles put on the cars. Yes, we sold Greg's motorcycle and replaced it with a very used, not the best condition but it runs car. In fact we sold the motorcycle for $900 and bought the car for $850. What a trade right? My sister Missy came to visit for two weeks. She flew into Las Vegas and out of Boise so that she could visit family and show her children some sights! Paxton and I drove to Vegas to pick up her family.Paxton and I, Aunt Pam, Grandma (My Dad's Mom), Missy and Alahna

In Vegas, we went to Circus Circus and played at the carnival rides and games. We went to M&M World and saw the lights at the Bellagio. Missy's boys swam in Aunt Pam's pool on a very hot day. Watermelon never tasted so good as it did in 100 degree weather! My sister Tina and her family also visited. My nephew Caleb has a pacemaker and he had to get a new one. His surgeries are done at Primary Children's hospital. While we were waiting for him to get out of surgery, we took all of the kids to This is the Place Heritage Park. It was a lot of fun and tons of things for the kids to do. Above is Kami and Malachi racing metal circles down the rode by pushing and balancing them with sticks.

These sweet little lambs died in a fire the next day. Along with other animals we were able to get up close and personal with. So sad.
We also went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. This is all of the cousins at the food court.Me, Mom, Tina and Missy

We spent a lot of time at my house going swimming, playing in the sprinklers and painting temple pictures. A friend of mine, Lisa, and I started a temple photo business and it has done really well. But June was crazy busy filling special orders and getting ready for the Manti Pageant Craft Fair. Our website is: vintagetemplephotos.blogspot.com

Missy's family flew out of Boise. We couldn't all fit in the same car, so I took Alexis with me to take them to Idaho and Greg stayed home with Denali and Paxton. We were able to see two more of my Dad's siblings. And I must apologize to our Idaho friends that I didn't stop and see. It was a quick family trip.

I have only met my Uncle Dan once before that I remember. He and his wife Patsy live in Oregon and we were able to go visit them for a couple days. They have a boat and took us fishing. It was Alexis' first time and she caught a fish! Actually she caught several. We didn't keep any of them.

Uncle Dan let the kids take turns driving the boat too. This is Mason so proud of himself!
We stopped to eat some lunch and did a little hiking. Alexis found a bush that apparently had a lot of ticks on it. Because in the shower that night I found 4 on her. I was so stressed and scared that I missed one or the rest of us would be crawling with them. Luckily we all survived.
Dan & Patsy with their dogs in front of their cute yellow house. This is their vacation home where they go to relax and enjoy the quiet. It was beautiful there and we got to hear fun stories about my Dad.

Writing about my family's visit, sure is making me miss them right now. It was great having them here!
