Denali Turns 4!

I still can't believe Denali is 4 already. I was pregnant with her when we moved to Ephraim and I still feel like we just moved here. She decided that she wanted a "Chocolate" themed party. We put some chocolate chips in a snack-sized plastic baggy and stapled it to a note promising the guests they would have a "sweet" time. We invited 4 sets of neighbor siblings, so a total of 8 friends. Alexis read them the book, "Choco-Louie." It is about a boy who won't eat anything but chocolate and realizes that isn't as great as he thought it would be. We borrowed a chocolate fountain and had all sorts of goodies to dip in it. We made chocolate cupcakes. I used a large round tip to swirl to frosting on top and then we topped them with different kinds of chocolate candies and sprinkles. Milk was served to drink with all that chocolate. We opened presents and let them play with the gifts for a bit and then had a treasure hunt. Greg wrote some rhyming clues and the kids were off running from clue to clue and loving it. The surprise at the end was treat bags filled with different chocolate candy. We bought the candy marked down after Halloween and the party including her gifts only cost $50. It was a fun day!
